
Olivier Kenta Chiku-Ratté, IM
Olivier Kenta Chiku-Ratté is a Canadian International Master (IM) from Montreal who brings both elite playing experience and a fresh, modern perspective to chess instruction. Earning the IM title at the young age of 20, Olivier has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication from an early age. He first made his mark on the international stage by representing Canada at the World Youth Chess Championship in 2011. In 2015, he earned his first IM norm and was awarded the FIDE Master (FM) title. His second IM norm came in January 2019 at the Montreal Winter Chess Classic, and he was officially awarded the IM title at the 90th FIDE Congress in 2020 in Abu Dhabi.
Olivier remains an active competitor on the tournament circuit, offering students not only a solid foundation in chess fundamentals but also rare insight into high-level play, preparation, and mindset. His ongoing involvement in competitive chess ensures that his teaching is always informed by current strategies and trends at the international level.

Olivier teaches group chess class and hold regular simultaneous game help challenge our students in the weekend. He remains open to 1-on-1 tutoring for advanced students.
